Claire-Louise Book Addict

A book is a dream that you hold in your hand.

–Neil Gaiman

Locked - Maya Cross

It was an ok read, well written but not original.
Attractive billionaire, insta lust, and willing to try to give more.
Sound familiar? I don't think i can bring myself to read the rest of the series.
I honestly think i am done with BDSM stories.

Love Letters Of Great Women - Ursula Doyle (Ed ). Love Letters of Great Men -

Both these books were bought for me by a friend as she knows i am a hopeless romantic.

Some of the letters were very sweet, others i felt were a little dry and a few even made me laugh.

Out of both books my favourite letters were from Napoleon Bonaparte to his wife Josephine.

The Darkest Passion - Gena Showalter

Aeron and Olivia's story.
So i now have a new favourite, Aeron is to die for.
The love story was amazing, i think that Aeron and Olivia were the perfect match.
Legion i could have slapped a few times she annoyed me so much.
I also enjoyed the pov's from Strider and Gideon, i am really looking forward to their stories.
The only reason that this isn't a 5* read is the ending, I was a wee bit disappointed with the way things ended.

“I watched you,” she continued, “as well as those around you, and I…ached. I wanted you,
and I wanted what they had–freedom and love and fun. I wanted to play. I wanted to kiss and to touch.
I wanted joy of my own.” Her gaze met his, bleak, broken. “In the end, I had a choice. Fall…or kill you. I decided to fall. So here I am. Yours.”

The Darkest Whisper - Gena Showalter

Sabin and Gwen's story.
I loved Gwen, with every page turned you get to see her grow stronger to become a kick-ass heroine.
Sabin has never been a favourite of mine and unfortunately still isn't. I didn't understand a lot of his reasoning.
Still a great read and will definitely be continuing with The Darkest Passion, Aeron's story.

His origins, forgotten. His past, of no consequence. Their audience, vanished as if they’d never been present.
Only the two of them existed. Only the here and now mattered...
A kiss that left no room for fear.

The Darkest Pleasure - Gena Showalter

Reyes has got to be the most tortured hero i have ever come across. I am so glad he got his HEA.
My favourite of the series so far. I am now moving swiftly on to The Darkest Whisper.

“When you do, just remember that he is a warrior with a tortured past you cannot even imagine. If you want him, you’ll have to fight him.”
“Don’t you mean fight for him? Fight for him?”
“Oh, no. You’ll have to fight him. He won’t surrender to his feelings easily. Good luck. Remember, no running or you’ll regret it.

“Reyes stop,” she said. Unable to keep the laughter from her voice. Hi fierceness had returned full force. “No one called me easy.” She loved that he was wiling to destroy anyone who might have, though. “Just wanted to make sure you knew. I’ve only dated a few guys seriously.”
“Shall I kill them?”
“Why Reyes, I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.”

Peter Pan Book Art

The entire text of Peter Pan makes up this picture. I think it is amazing and i really really want it.

The Darkest Kiss - Gena Showalter

I loved this book. Lucien and Anya were a match made in heaven or maybe hell.
I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

“He had a bleeding cut on his leg and he smelled like shit.
Her nose wrinkled. "Step in something?" she asked innocently.
"That I did not mind." He took a menacing step toward her.
"What I did mind was being hit by a cab, then landing on the lap of a naked man.
With an erection, Anya. He had an erection.”

Not book related but....

I had such an awesome night just had to share. Tonight my fabulous husband took the kids and i out out for dinner and then to watch WWE Live. I watch it on the t.v all the time as it is watched religiously in my house but i would never class myself as a fan. Well i can tell you now after seeing them do what they do live i will now and forever be all over that s**t. Best night in ages.

Any one else or just me?

Suicide Watch - Kelley York

I am emotionally exhausted.
I have no words. Outstanding read.

"If she's in a better place, why are the rest
of us trying so hard to stay where we are?"

"It hurts.
I sleep with my face pressed into Adam's neck,
where my tears have dried. Our legs are tangled together.
Hands clasped tightly.
Breathe in, breathe out. Over and over again.
Just to prove a broken heart can't really kill you."

Reading progress update: I've read 16%.

Suicide Watch - Kelley York

He's a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans for nobody

I can see me needing tissues
